Introducing BackupBuddy.Net Professional
As we have mentioned previously, we have been working very hard over the past year on our next generation of mobile backup technology: BackupBuddy.Net. And it's now finally available!

Just to recap: BackupBuddy.Net allows you to wirelessly backup your Treo smartphone over the Internet. It has been engineered to be both extremely fast and extremely secure.

Our focus for BackupBuddy.Net is ease-of-use and reliability. So one of the features we spent a lot of time perfecting is our unique Trickle Backup feature. Trickle Backup allows BackupBuddy.Net to transparently and continuously backup your files when you're not actively using your Treo. It stays completely out of your way and does not interfere with the use of your Treo. In fact it's so transparent, you may even forget that it's active. And if you're not using an unlimited data plan and need to watch how much wireless data you use, BackupBuddy.Net supports once-daily (scheduled) backups and manual backups as well.

The initial release, BackupBuddy.Net Basic, backed only up essential PIM files: Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Memos. Today we've released the Professional Edition which backs up your entire device including all third-party applications and data. Anybody who previously purchased a subscription for the Basic edition is entitled to a complimentary upgrade to Pro - for free. A 14 day trial version is available which allows you to backup as much and as often as you want. We're also offering discounted 6 and 12 month subscriptions to our existing customers.

BackupBuddy.Net Professional Feature Complete Beta available!
We have just posted a feature-complete version of BackupBuddy.Net Profesional, our wireless backup appplication for Treo's. It now includes:

• Complete wireless backup and restore of your device
• Selective Backup & Restore - you can customize both your backups and restores via the 'Customize' button (which appears if you have subscribed) and via the menu items which are always available (whether you have subscribed or not)
  
• Restore Archived items - files that you have deleted from your device can now be restored via the 'Restore Archived' menu item. Archived items are stored on the server for up to one month.
  
• When setting up your account for the first time, you're now given the choice of having a 'Basic' or 'Pro' mode trial
  

Additionally, we have recently discovered (and implemented a workaround for) a bug in the Treo 700p ROM that may prevent existing Basic and Pro beta users from connecting and receiving the auto-update.
