2005 has been a busy year for us here at Blue Nomad, with the release of numerous updates to BackupBuddyVFS, the new BackupBuddy for Mac OS X, RemoveIt, SwordFish, and our Nomad Security Suite. In case you missed our last announcement, we recently released
BackupBuddyVFS 3.2, and have now updated it to version 3.2.15. It
contains numerous bug fixes and we encourage everybody to upgrade using the link provided above. This is a FREE update.
Please Note: you do not need to delete your existing version first. If you do, you may loose your registration code, so we recommend you install directly over your current version.
Nomad Security Suite Customers: you can also download and install this complimentary update over your current version.
Here's a recap of what's new in BackupBuddyVFS 3.2:
- Faster than lightening backup and restore speed performance improvements up to 400% when using encryption, 200% without
- Allow auto off during backup option in preferences allows Treo users to keep their smartphone's screen off during backup to preserve battery life
- Snooze option in Backup countdown screen
- Added scheduling preference for automatic scheduled backup If no HotSync in: X hours. This option (i.e. X) can be set to days, hours, or minutes.
- Highly accurate backup/restore progress meters and significantly more responsive Cancel button
- Handheld will now stay on to finish backup irrespective of handheld auto-off time
