Redwood City, California (December 17, 2003). Blue Nomad releases a new version of BackupBuddyVFS for Palm OS handheld devices. The new version adds support for the latest Palm OS devices, as well as an updated user interface and Graphics. Also released is BackupBuddyVFS:Lite. This version replaces the free version of BackupBuddyVFS with a new Lite version. The Lite version also has updated user interfaced and Graphics.

BackupBuddyVFS is designed to work with organizers that support the Virtual File System ("VFS"), such as the Palm M Series, Tungsten, Handspring Treo, and the Sony Clie devices. You can use BackupBuddyVFS on almost any Palm OS device with a memory card.

With BackupBuddyVFS installed on your organizer, you can effortlessly backup your organizer's critical files to the Sony Clie's Memory Stick(r) or to Secure Digital or MultiMedia expansion cards for Palm organizers. In the event of a loss of data, you can then use BackupBuddyVFS to restore your organizer's data from an expansion card. As a result, you no longer need to wait until you have access to your Hotsync cradle or a modem to backup or restore your data.

BackupBuddyVFS:Lite is the limited version of BackupBuddyVFS. BackupBuddyVFS:Lite enables you to back up all of your organizer's files to and restore all of your backup data from your organizer's expansion card. BackupBuddyVFS:Lite is a smaller Simplified version for basic backup and restore of your device.

BackupBuddyVFS is available for purchase online at Blue Nomad's website (www.bluenomad.com) for $16.95. BackupBuddyVFS:Lite is available for $6.95. The trial versions allow for 30 days of use with no limitations.
