This weekend we had our first BackupBuddy.Net outage, and we would like to offer our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. A bad memory module led to a series of cascading failures which happened to affect our backup servers. We have fixed the problem and are taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen again, including more frequent monitoring of our replication servers. Additionally, we have extended everybody's subscription by three months.

BackupBuddyVFS Professional 4.1 is available. Its fixes include: Improvements to the Continuous Backup feature, Improved compatibility with the Treo 680, Improved ability to restore large contacts files and files 'in use' by OS, and Miscellaneous bug fixes. We are happy to offer an updated BackupBuddyVFS, now at version 3.3. It contains numerous bug fixes and we encourage everybody to upgrade. This is a FREE update to BBVFS Pro 3.x users. BBVFS Pro can be upgraded by installing a newer demo version over the current registered version. BBVFS Personal can be upgraded by installing a newer registered version. BBVFS Personal users please see your original download link or contact upgrades with your order information.

Please try our Demo Version and see how you like it. Thanks to all the beta testers for your help and feedback! RemoveIt is also included in the Nomad Security Suite. At this time Sony Clie and T3 devices are not supported by RemoveIt.

We are happy to announce beta testing of a brand new product called RemoveIt! RemoveIt monitors the creation of all files and preferences by a running application and can remove all of them (including hidden items) when uninstalling from your Palm device. BackupBuddy for Mac OS X contains all the features of its Windows counterpart, and works both with the MissingSync from Markspace as well as with the regular Palm Desktop Hotsync. We are very happy to have a new BackupBuddyVFS Professional version available. Please note that this is not a final release and may still contain bugs that we're not yet aware of. This release candidate 3.2 has significantly enhanced reliability on NVFS devices (e.g. T5/TE2/Treo 650), is now able to backup files with records >64k, support for devices with >1 memory card slot, support for backup and restore of T5 internal drive (advanced mode), and many other bug fixes. You can download the release candidate version 3.1 and install over any previous version 3.X to update.

Blue Nomad Announces HandEra 330 Support!
Blue Nomad today announced that its award winning word processor application, WordSmith, supports the recently unveiled HandEra 330 device from HandEra, Inc., formerly TRG Products, Inc. The current shipping version of WordSmith, version 1.12, takes advantage of the unique features of the new HandEra 330, including its higher screen resolution (320 x 240 versus 160 x 160 on other Palm Powered devices), collapsible Graffiti area and jog wheel capabilities. The larger and higher resolution screen will greatly enhance WordSmith users rich text doc viewing and ebook reading experience. Lastly, WordSmith ships with an extra large optional font to take advantage of the increased screen real estate. A trial version of WordSmith will be included with all HandEra 330™ handheld computers.

Blue Nomad Releases Full Macintosh Version of WordSmith. Blue Nomad today introduced an updated version of WordSmith that includes full support for Macintosh users. The new version incorporates a bi-directional synchronization conduit that provides Macintosh users of WordSmith the ability to synchronize Rich Text Format files, such as those created by Microsoft Word, to and from their Palm Powered™ organizers.
