"My brand new treo 650 literally blew up while I was on vacation--
I tried my new car charger with my new phone the first time,
we heard a big pop, then smoke starts pouring out of the charger, and the treo
screen blacks out--dead as a doornail! I was sent a new phone within 24 hours,
but here I'm 3.5 hours from my PC so I can't synchronize, I have the data on my
laptop, but lugging that to the beach just to look up telephone numbers?
Thankfully the SD card did not also fry, and, very tentatively,

I backed up all my files to my SD card and put the card into another m505 and restored - worked perfectly!!" -Joyce Mankin "If it were not for BackupBuddyVFS I would have lost nearly all my applications and data on my m505. I always thought I didn't really need to back up to the card because my computer had a backup on it, but boy was I wrong. As luck had it I had backed up to the card only 12 hours before the nightmare started. Basically I tried to install an application on my m505 over one that was in the RAM using JackFlash. This resulted in two versions. After removing both versions all of a sudden my Palm was getting memory errors and requiring resets. Also, if I tried to delete any other applications using the built in launcher's menu for delete, Launcher III for delete, or McFile for delete the Palm would hang again. No big deal, I had just hotsynched to my computer. Hard reset and try to Hotsync. Nope, can't recognize the port or it is busy. WHAT? Oh yeah, I had also installed the new Palm USB hotsync update for the m505. After trying removing/reinstalling Palm desktop conduit still nothing. Finally I remembered backupbuddyVFS and after using the restore feature I had most of my Palm back, and it was synching like a charm!"-Bob Marvin "I bought and installed BackUp Buddy & love it.
